The Biography of Little Phoenix
Little Phoenix is a veteran in the world of modeling, makeup, music, acting and costuming for a variety of different medias.
She attended Towson University as a music composition student which is where she met her cousin Nicole. The two girls were unaware that they were related until a conversation occurred that mentioned Nicole’s last name. From there the girls started the band Sonodara which had influences from 80’s bands like Duran Duran and Depeche Mode mixed with other influences such as Tori Amos and Nine Inch Nails. This eclectic mix of haunting melodies, Celtic undertone and industrial beats landed the girls in numerous shows in Maryland. At one such show the girls were asked to perform in a fashion show, not as musicians but as models. This was the first runway show Little Phoenix participated in and after trying it she found she really enjoyed it.
After a few years Sonodara went on hiatus due to Nicole’s busy schedule. It was at this time that Little Phoenix started to dapple in photo shoots, cosplay and makeup. Her influences drew from video games, music, anime, Japanese street fashion, pin up and pop culture.
As her popularity grew she found herself getting more and more modeling work.
Little Phoenix has also been published numerous times. Not only does she do her own makeup for the majority of her shoots but she does it for other models as well. Her work has been featured in various publications such as Alt Fashion Magazine, The Paige and Strange Beauty Magazine. More recently you can find her in videos including Unicorn Table’s Heaven’s Door and The Fixer. She also models for several designer like Girdle Bound, Marslox and Hotmommas DeZign.
Little Phoenix frequently attends conventions as both attendee and guest where she has judged contests and performed. She has won awards for her costumes at conventions and online.
More recently Little Phoenix has been asked to help run panels at conventions . She is also trying to get back to creating music. With new elements she is adding to her work, drawing inspiration from dubstep and video games fans are in for a real treat.
She hopes to continue to meet new people and create and inspire others for years to come.
